Perhaps it's her strong sense of smell? Over active olfactory glands? Cold nose that needs warming (I, on occasion, have been known to use Adam as my personal nose warmer, so maybe the apple doesn't fall far from the tree)? Whatever it is, Ella likes to "nose" things. It's cute. But it's something I hope she outgrows when she gets older and realizes that it's kind of strange, too!
