One week shy of turning ten months, Ella started crawling. She'd been working up to it for a while now, and we even though she may not crawl and just go straight to walking. But one day, while Adam watched her after work, she made her first movements toward a new puzzle I had bought her. I was definitely thrilled, since I still harbor guilt from her broken leg a few months ago, and how that might have inhibited her gross motor skills development.
But now she's all over the place. As she becomes more confident with her new skill, she's crawling faster and faster, and becoming more adventurous. Which means gone are the days where I can plop her down and do some things around the house, knowing she won't be moving very far from where I left her. Now she's trying to open drawers, licking the refrigerator, and testing out Remy's water bowl. I'm definitely getting my workout chasing after her and stopping herself from getting into trouble. I can only imagine what it will be like when she starts walking.

| Remy is clearly the victim of Ella's new-found mobility. |
| Now she can get to the toys she wants to play with. |
| I turn my back for a second... (I swear, she's turning into a pug more and more each day.) |
| Helping me open up boxes. She dug into her new toys right away. |
