The Moose is Loose!

Adam got tickets to a suite at Angel stadium to watch his Mariners play (and win), so we took advantage of the opportunity and invited some family and friends to enjoy Ella's first baseball game.

Ella had the best seat in the house, where she could enjoy her dinner while watching the game.
Loving the festivities.
She was pretty fascinated by all the commotion.
Of course we had to deck her out in team gear!

It was a lot of fun, and definitely a special time for Adam to share his love of baseball and his home team with his baby girl.  And Ella did great, even making it through the seventh inning stretch.  Go, M's!

Peanuts & Cracker Jacks

Adam was given tickets for a suite to watch the Anaheim Angels v. Cleveland Indian games last night, and since my parents have never been to a baseball game (or any sporting event) before, we thought it would be fun to take them.  It was a great night out and we greatly enjoyed the food, the company and watching my parents try to figure out the rules of the game.  (By the 8th inning, they figured out that the pitcher and the batter were on opposing teams.)   As I sat side by side with my mom, munching on popcorn and debating whether or not to have another hot dog, I was reminded exactly where I get my love of snack foods in stadiums from.

Representing the Pacific Northwest!

I want to preface this post with the fact that our baby has been showered with love, especially lately with all the wonderful gifts she's been receiving.  We are so appreciative of everyone's generosity and are thankful that so many people can join in our celebration of this new life coming into the world.  Our cup overflows!

That said, here is (according to Adam) what is probably the most exciting gift that our baby could possibly receive.  Thanks, Freilinger family (Jason, Cyndee, Chloee & Lucee)!  You know these items will be put to good use!

I got excited about a stroller and car seat.  Adam?  It's all about the Seattle sports gear, of course!

Oh, That's A Chukka!

Adam left last Thursday for a weekend trip to Virginia to visit some good friends of ours and attend their daughter's baptism.  Needless to say I missed him before he even boarded the plane.  After all these years living together, we still miss each other if we're in separate rooms.  It's gross and cheesy, but it's us.  And it's a part of us that I appreciate (being able to spend 24/7 with one another).  With Adam gone, I spent my weekend straightening up, studying, watching (too much) TV, and sleeping in (much to the dismay of the pugs).  The weather has been gloomy and wet so I spent a lot of time indoors (which has made me a bit restless and REALLY eager for Adam's return tonight).  But I did get to celebrate my sister-in-law, Ashley's, birthday on Saturday.  We attended an arena polo match in Palm Springs, tried to picnic on the grass, almost got blown away by the crazy wind, and enjoyed the bonding time on the drive there and back.

Our spread.  We didn't realize until we got there that no one else really had a picnic or tailgated.  We set up shop anyway.

It was a high scoring game.  USA v. England

Watching the match.

Dessert!

The set up for the awards ceremony.  The USA won!

Some Go For the Game, I Go For the Food!

Our friend, Louie, got box seat tickets to the LA Kings v. Dallas Stars hockey game and invited us to join him.  We had a great time eating, cheering on the teams, and watching a man propose to his girlfriend on the kisscam.  I'm no hockey fan, but I am a fan of sitting in a suite and eating an endless tub of popcorn!  Oh, and the dessert cart!  This makes the second hockey game our baby has been to in utero.  She's starting to get a little spoiled.

Watching the game.

Indulging in a chocolate s'mores cake.

Thanks, Louie!!  You definitely know the way to a pregnant lady's heart!
